Shakshuka is a nice tomato-egg dish from the middle east. It is very popular in Israel, where they eat it for breakfast. It is not very hard to make, you only need one pan. I like to eat it as lunch or dinner. I would not eat it for breakfast (but maybe you would?). Saut\u00e9 for a few minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Add the bell pepper and cook until it is soft<\/li>\n<li>Then add the tomato dices and paste and let it simmer for 5 mintues, so the sauce reduces a bit<\/li>\n<li>Now you can add the herbs to your taste. Do you want a sweet shakshuka? Then add some extra sugar. Do you like it spicy? Then add some cayenne pepper, but watch out because it is really spicy!<\/li>\n<li>Crack the eggs (one at the time) and divide them evenly over the tomato sauce. The easiest way is to put 1 egg in the middle and place the other 5 around that egg.<\/li>\n<li>Cover the pan and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the eggs are cooked. If you like, you can cook them a little shorter to have eggs that are softer. Watch out that the sauce does not reduce too much, otherwise it will burn!
